Fourth annual ACCM Conference
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Feb. 20, 1999) -- More than 150 student journalists and their advisers from 22 schools in 14 states gathered for the Fourth Annual Association of Christian Collegiate Media (ACCM) Conference for sessions and workshops on the theme "Morality and the Media."
ACCM presents contest awards
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Feb. 20, 1999) -- Liberty University, Lynchburg, Va., earned top awards for the Liberty Champion, the school's weekly broadsheet newspaper at the fourth annual conference of the Association of Christian Collegiate Media at Regent University, February l8-20. The publication was awarded first places for Overall Excellence in Newspaper and Overall Effective Integration of Christian Worldview.
Collegiate Journalists hear about experience of current, former foreign, correspondence
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Feb. 22, 1997) -- Christian collegiate journalists from across the nation gathered over the weekend for the third annual Regent University Journalism Conference. More than 100 undergraduate students heard keynote speakers Jack Kelley, USA Today foreign correspondent, and David Aikman former senior correspondent and foreign correspondent with Time magazine, talk about their experiences during the three-day event.
ACCM announces new President for 1997
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (February 22, 1997) -- The Association of Christian Collegiate Media (ACCM) has a new president for 1997. Sheridan Barker of Carson-Newman College, which is located in Tennessee, is the new president. Barker praised past president Ann Wharton of Liberty Univesity for her dedication to the association and pledged to follow God's timing for the organization.
ACCM also unveiled its news service for ACCM members during the third annual Regent University Journalism Conference, which is co-sponsored by ACCM.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (March 16, 1996) Both keynote speakers, Fred Barnes of The Weekly Standard and Terry Mattingly, who writes a weekly religion column for Scripps-Howard News Service, told Christian collegiate journalists that Christians are needed in the mainstream media.
